High Selectivity Catalyst
CRI’s best-selling catalyst, S-882, offers superior selectivity performance for those customers who want the leading edge of catalyst technology and efficient plant operation. S-882 catalyst has saved the industry thousands of kilotons in reduced ethylene consumption and reduced CO₂ emissions. S-882’s success is well testified in the market, with over 25% of the world’s EO being produced by S-882. In excess of 110 charges of S-882 have been operated commercially throughout the world.

CRI offers an improved high selectivity (HS) catalyst to its customers in the United States – HS-PLUS. Future generations of improved catalysts beyond S-882 are currently being tested in the laboratory and demonstration units and will be commercialized as they become available.
